My name is Brian Licata, I am the 5th-8th Grade Math Teacher at St Johns. I teach in a 1:1 class. It has been so useful for Math. I think that if I went back to a regular classroom I would have a hard time adjusting.
My students get to play with a lot of technology, they help me test out the bugs and we try to learn together.
5th Grade is learning how to take surveys and create frequency charts and then graphs
7th Grade is learning about angles and line
7th Grade is currently trying out a new approach to assessment and differentiated learning. They are using LiveScribe Pulse Smartpens to record all their work in Math, both verbal and written. Here are some pics and video of them getting started
